Tim Ginever

Nicknamed “Nippy”, Tim Ginever played in seven premierships in his 314 SANFL games for Port Adelaide between 1983 and 1997, booting 302 goals.

He captained the club from 1994 to 1997 and twice won the best and fairest among a host of other club awards.

Ginever later coached Port Adelaide from 2006 to 2009 and is a SA Football and Port Adelaide Football Club Hall of Fame inductee.

Erin Phillips

One of Australia’s finest athletes and certainly the best to play AFLW, Erin Phillips was Port Adelaide’s first AFLW signing and its inaugural AFLW captain. She was named the AFLW’s best player on two occasions prior to coming to Port Adelaide, while playing for the Adelaide Crows, and won three premierships and three All-Australian blazers there.

She retired in 2023 after booting 53 goals in 66 AFLW games.

Prior to her football career, Phillips was a decorated basketballer, playing nine seasons in the WNBA. She won two WNBA championships, a WNBL championship and an Olympic silver medal before switching to football.

Phillips has Port Adelaide in her blood. Her father Greg Phillips is an Australian Football Hall of Famer. He played more than 300 games for Port Adelaide, won eight premierships and was club captain from 1991 to 1993.
